Biography

Radio Frequency Engineer with over 35 years of overall system and 20 years “In-Building” DAS and BDA system design experience. Recognized as a leader in the radio communications industry, Mr. Glenn has been involved in the following aspects of the communications business;

Mr. Glenn was instrumental in the design and engineering of the SOLiD Alliance DAS platform, the first hardened fiber DAS platform to offer RF support for services from 136 MHz to 2.5 GHz, specifically designed to be used by public safety users for “in building” signal enhancement.

Mr. Glenn is often involved in radio system performance evaluations and interference mitigation, most recently working with Sacramento County Regional Communications, to develop and perform drive test of approximately 1000 square miles in the state of California.  Glenn is consulted to mitigate interference complaints related to BDA and DAS system installations.  Over the years Glenn has been involved in the engineering and build out of public safety, LMR and iDEN systems throughout the Western United States.

Mr. Glenn is an experienced instructor participating as an instructor for CIBET (Certified in Building Engineering Technologist) as well as developing and presenting training content for APCO, IWCE and AHJs throughout the United States.

Mr. Glenn was involved ex-parte requests from the Federal Communications Commission on issues affecting “in building” Distributed Antenna Systems (2012)

Member of ANSI 63.26 Commercial Signal Booster Task Group (2014-)

Member of UL 2525 Standards for Public Safety “in building” Radio Communications, Standards Technical Panel (2018-).
